The Big Ask:

$250,000

We believe that the Lord has not asked us to open a brick-and-mortar church, rather, we are to teach and equip local believers to open their own homes & hearts for ministry.

What this means is our home is dual-purpose for the mission field.

As the leaders of this ministry, our personal home is utilized 6 days a week for the needs of the people we minister to. (On the 7th day we observe Sabbath rest.) We host Potluck & Home Church on Sundays, Gatherings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, weekly Bible Study groups, and a consistent schedule of discipleship & counseling sessions throughout the week. We also house a young married couple, the May Family, as they are being trained into full-time missions work!

Close to the heart of the City of Fort Myers, we have the opportunity to purchase this property, and finish construction of an additional unit in the backyard to support our ministry's growth.

Our home (and additional unit) is an essential part of our ministry that serves 3 main purposes:

  • First, it provides an actual home environment for Christian hospitality to be taught, small church gatherings, shared meals, sacrificial service and discipleship. It is a safe and private space for one-on-one counseling, mentorship, and intimate group bible studies. We complement the larger church body by modeling in "real-time" and "real-life" what is taught from the pulpit. Ministering within our home exposes others to what varying degrees of daily devotion and service to the Lord look like for a layperson and empowers them to bring what they learn into their own homes. We believe this is an essential skill for the church body to learn, as Covid-19 proved that American churches can be shut-down and gatherings denied. Are we ready for what may still come?

  • Second, this home is a safe refuge for those in need of transitional support. 24 adults & foster children have transitioned through here since 2019. As rents continue to rise and Covid-19 takes its toll, many Christians have been in need of short-term housing while they find new jobs or more affordable rent. The additional unit will allow an extra bedroom to help some transition. Currently, our ministry is supporting the May family, providing shelter while they train and raise funds.

  • Third, it provides the workspace for administration & management of the ministry, the church body, and all of the partnerships and outreach. Rather than rent an external space, this home allows for all administration to be done in-house, saving our mission funds for other purposes.

Will you help us secure this home for ministry?

Please be in prayer about making a donation or assisting us in our fundraising campaign.

We will need the help of many to continue to help many!
