Hurricane Blessings
Our city was shaken,
September 23, 2022.
This short blog will not do justice to all the incredible things the Lord did through this difficult time of wide-spread destruction, but I hope a quick nod is better than none!
A quick blessings list…
Our home was spared any major damage, allowing us to work immediately on relief efforts for others.
The Lord brought us out of town a few days prior to the storm (we thought we were starting a family vacation), and this allowed us a quick tour of our partner churches in 4 different states, raising funds & provisions to bring back for hurricane relief.
One of these donated provisions was a Nissan 4x4 truck that would allow us to do the heavy work of tear-downs and construction needs.
Just over $50,000 was raised for the relief efforts!
Truckloads of donations continued to pour in. We now have a 10 x 10 storage unit with the surplus items, allowing us to provide toiletries and personal items to the homeless we minister to weekly.
An unexpected partnership was formed with Renew Outreach, who equipped us with incredible technology for unchurched communities during the electrical outages. We are continuing to use this technology for neighborhood gatherings and international outreach in Mexico & Pakistan.
